Longest Basketball Game Volunteer Page

This summer Stony Plain Basketball will be attempting a Guiness World Record to play the Longest Basketball Game as a fundraiser for Operation Basketball Amigo. A few tidbits to let you know what will be going on:

113 straight hours of basketball, day and night
24 players (12 per team)
Date: Sunday August 19, 8:00 pm - Friday August 24, 1:00 pm
Place: Living Waters Christian Academy in Spruce Grove
Goal: To raise $100,000 for Operation Amigo

It takes $4000 to build a house
$10000 for the Operation Basketball Amigo trip this November
We are also building a women's shelter, adding on to the trade school and beauty school
Operation Amigo can build 5 houses a year ($20,000) so our goal is to raise money to help build 15 house in the next 3 years ($60,000), send 3 Operation Basketball Amigo trips ($30,000) to run basketball camps and help build the houses/shelters.

We need volunteers for:

Scorekeeper (2)

Kitchen & Food prep/food donations (contact [email protected])

If you would like to sign up to volunteer, click leave a comment under the timeslot that you would be able to help out, leave your name, phone number, and what you would like to volunteer for. If there are already 2 scorekeepers who've commented in a timeslot, choose another position or another timeslot. If you (or your child) may not be able to do a 4 hour shift, just let me, Rocky Weigl, know and we'll work it out. Thank you SO much for giving of your time!
